Four overwhelm patterns repeatedly appear in ADHD brains. Many of us default to a primary type and shift to a secondary type depending on the situation.
Knowing your type(s) helps identify which supports work best for you.
The determined leader who often pushes themselves past capacity into burnout.
The agile adapter who stays in motion, keeping busy with everything but the main task.
The meticulous planner who prepares thoroughly and often gets stuck before starting.
The empathetic supporter who takes care of everyone and runs low on themselves.
Inside Overwhelm to Action LIVE, you’ll identify and work with your type, learn its specific triggers, and develop a personalized Overwhelm Dashboard that best supports how your brain navigates overwhelm.
I wonder if you can relate… It’s 3 pm on a Tuesday, and the to-do list has gotten away from you. You know there’s a strategy that would help you start, but you’re too flooded to remember how it works, let alone identify what matters most.
The truth is, going from 0 to 1% is the hardest part. That first bit of movement often looks so small our brains skip right past it, which keeps us spinning for weeks.
That’s where Overwhelm to Action LIVE comes in. Every other week we meet for group coaching and work through whatever’s keeping you stuck. Between calls, a private community gives you room to practice the strategies with people doing the same work alongside you.
That’s how we get to 1%. Once you can spot overwhelm building, regulate your system enough to think clearly, and find one small, doable step, you start trusting yourself to move forward sustainably, knowing you have supports in place for the next time overwhelm strikes.
$347 in full, or two monthly payments of $174.
I’ve been stuck in an overwhelm loop for so long with strategies that didn’t work. Overwhelm to Action provides tangible strategies I can actually use to move forward, even when I’m lost in a fog. I feel like a new person.
- Susan G.
We’ve all tried stitching together tips from books, podcasts, and YouTube. Usually, the moment overwhelm hits, they fall apart.
That’s where Overwhelm to Action LIVE comes in.

Overwhelm to Action has helped me move through blocks that have kept me stuck for so long. It has been so hard to know what to do first when everything feels like priority #1. This course helped me understand actions I can take to get unstuck and how to move through what I was procrastinating on.
- Sarah Z.
Sign up for instant access to all the course materials, plus everything you need to join the live calls and participate in the private community (community opens October 6th).
Watch that week’s videos before the group coaching session. Bring what you’re navigating to the call and raise your hand for coaching. We’ll work through it together.
By call four, you’ll have built a personal regulate-and-reset process that helps you shift from overwhelm, calm your system, and move from 0–1%, building momentum with tailored supports for your current season of life.
$347 in full, or two monthly payments of $174.
Sustainable progress with ADHD tends to show up first in small, specific ways.
Here’s the shape it typically takes over seven weeks.
By Week 3
You can name what’s happening when overwhelm hits. The flooding still happens at times, but rather than seeing it as a personal failure, you now recognize it as a pattern, making it easier to interrupt.
By Week 5
You have specific steps you can take in ten minutes or less when overwhelm takes over. If Tuesday ever goes off the rails, you know how to get back on track.
By Week 7
You’ve built your full regulate-and-reset system for your overwhelm type. You’re no longer frozen at the start. Instead, you head into December with clear next steps and a simple, supportive plan you can return to whenever things fill up.
That’s what we’re doing together over seven weeks in Overwhelm to Action LIVE.
Less mental static. Concrete action steps that help you regulate if overwhelm floods your system. Clearer direction on what to prioritize and the next step to take, even on those challenging days you used to write off by 10 am.
Less overcommitting when the season gets busy. Systems that flex with your energy and hold up through the hard weeks. Fewer tasks you rewrite on next Monday’s list because overwhelm isn’t stopping you from doing the work.
When you understand how your brain moves through overwhelm, the story changes. The frozen afternoon becomes information about what your brain needs.
You build self-trust, because you’ve watched yourself reset and start again. You carry less shame about the way your brain works. And you develop a steadier relationship with your own capacity, one where you can tell the difference between a hard day and a signal to adjust.
That steadiness stays with you long after the seven weeks end.
Group coaching is here to meet you where you are.
Each call follows a version of this format:
There are two primary ways clients engage in my group programs, and both approaches do well.
Some come with a specific topic they want to explore, and we work through it together.
Others like to lean back. They join, listen to the coaching, and take what applies to them. There’s no pressure to speak. Plus, the topics people bring are often the same ones you’ve been thinking about, too.
As Rich from this summer’s We’re Busy Being Awesome cohort described:
Being in this group, I never realized I could relate to so many people who have similar thoughts as I do. If you want to feel “seen” and work alongside high-performing, super-driven ADHD brains, this is the community to be in!
-Rich M.
Your step-by-step system to calm the chaos plus live calls to make it stick.
Program runs: October 8-November 19
Enrollment closes: October 5
For $347, You Get:
Lifetime access to the full self-paced course: yours to return to any season you need it
4 hours of live coaching calls: four 60-minute calls, every other week, one per module. Calls on Thursdays from 4:00-5:00 pm Central Time.
Your personal Overwhelm Dashboard: built and practiced before the holiday season starts
No problem! We record every call and post the replay within 48 hours so you can watch on your own time.
You can still ask your question, too. For each module, I post a Questions Thread in the community. Drop your question there, and I’ll address as many as I can on the call, either directly or through someone else’s coaching on the same topic.
Our four coaching calls run from 4:00-5:00 pm Central Time on Thursdays, October 8 through November 19, one every other week:
Each call is 60 minutes, and that gap between sessions gives you space to work through the material and practice what you’re learning before we meet again.
The private community opens earlier and stays open later than the calls, running October 6 through November 30, so you have room to connect before we start and after we wrap.
Yes! You can join for $347 or two monthly payments of $174.
The course has four modules, each broken into short, digestible videos you can watch on your own schedule:
That’s roughly 4.5 hours of course content, which we’ll explore over seven weeks: roughly 30-45 minutes per week. (Less if your brain prefers watching at 1.5x speed. )
Additionally, there are four live 60-minute coaching calls, one per module, spread across the seven weeks.
Not at all. You’re welcome to show up and just listen. Many people discover so much about themselves and what they need by hearing others get coaching on similar topics.
There’s also a middle option. You can drop your question in the Zoom chat instead of raising your hand, and I’ll speak to as many questions as I can.
Do what feels most comfortable for you.
Not at all. This program is built for anyone who recognizes these overwhelm patterns in themselves, whether they have a formal diagnosis or experience ADHD tendencies.
The community lives on Podia, the same platform that hosts your course. Your videos, workbook, and the community are all in one place; there’s no extra app to download or place to check.
The community is where you’ll practice between calls, compare notes with others in the group, and connect with people navigating the same things you are.
Coaching with me (Paula) happens on our four live calls, so if something comes up as you practice, raise your hand on our next session! We can dive in and smooth out the friction together.
Yep, I’ve been there, too. That’s why I built this experience differently.
Overwhelm to Action LIVE is built around learning and practicing these skills with live support along the way. Between bi-weekly group coaching calls and a private community, there are opportunities to ask questions, create accountability, and smooth out any friction as you discover what works best for you.
Yes! If you already purchased the course, check your email for a separate offer that adds the live coaching and community at a special price. Don’t see the information? Send me an email paula @ imbusybeingawesome.com, and I’ll send it over.
Yes! The self-paced course is available on its own here.
You’ve already tried pushing harder. You’ve already tried to-do list apps and productivity hacks. But you’re still overwhelmed.
The patterns that keep repeating signal that your brain needs support that works for a neurodivergent brain.
With Overwhelm to Action LIVE, you’ll have:
There’s still runway before December. In seven weeks, you have time to both build and practice these supports so they’re ready to go when the holiday bustle hits.
ADHD coach, podcast host, and your guide to moving from overwhelm to sustainable action.
The truth is, I’m no stranger to overwhelm. It felt like a constant, very unwelcome companion through much of my adult life.
Before becoming a coach, I was a scattered professor buried under endless to-do lists, anxiety-fueled deadlines, and a whole lot of “just try harder.”
I spent years chasing every planner, app, and productivity hack I could find, convinced that if I pushed a little more, I could finally get ahead.
Spoiler alert: “working harder” didn’t work. The overwhelm cycle kept repeating.
Everything shifted in 2016, when I was diagnosed with ADHD. Suddenly, the struggles I’d carried as personal failures finally made sense.
With the right supports, I learned how to work with my ADHD, uncover my strengths, and build systems that actually help my brain.
Now, I help fellow ADHD brains learn to do the same:
✨ Calm the chaos
✨ Navigate big emotions
✨ Take that first doable step forward, building momentum from there.
