Alright, friends. I am super excited about today’s podcast topic because I know it’s something that’s been on a lot of your minds recently. And what’s the topic, you ask? Overwhelm. A few weeks ago, I took a poll on my Instagram stories asking everyone what they wanted to hear more about on the podcast. I had options for more productivity tips, relationship strategies, communication tactics, time management hacks, organization tips, how to manage stress, etc. By the way, if you’re not following me over @imbusybeingawesome yet, you totally should be! Head over to Instagram and give me a follow.
I was reading the book Mindset by Carol Dweck the other day, which is a powerful study about growth mindset vs. fixed mindset. In the book, Dweck offers some thought-provoking questions that got me thinking about the connection between a growth mindset and a strong self-confidence. And the questions she asked were: What can I learn from this? What will I do next time I’m in this situation? These may seem like simple questions, but I’m telling you, they are so incredibly powerful. You see, so many times when things go “wrong,” we’re tempted to throw in the towel. We
Many of my coaching clients have been focused on a similar issue over the past few weeks. And because it keeps popping up everywhere, I’ve taken it as a sign that we need to do a deep dive into the topic for today’s podcast. Because the truth is, I have a feeling lots of us are dealing with some version of the same issue. And that issue is the struggle with follow-through. But before we explore the challenges with follow-through, let’s first take a minute to talk about what the word follow-through even means. What is follow-through? What do I
Alright, my friends…here’s the truth. I’m in a little bit of denial that we’ve finished the first week of October already. It’s like the year is literally speeding up. And based on the number of messages I’ve received recently looking for more time management strategies, I’ve realized I’m not alone. It seems like we are all looking for a little more time in the day as we get closer to the end of the year. So with that in mind, I thought we would take another look at time management today, and more specifically, geek out on time blocking. You
Hey, friends! Can you believe it? We’ve made it to episode 10! I’ve got to tell you, I’m feeling pretty stoked about it. Starting this podcast has been something I’ve been thinking about for a long time. It has been quite the journey working toward this point, and I am SO excited to keep creating content and connecting with all of you incredible listeners. It’s been such a joy to hear your feedback, connect with you on Instagram and Facebook, and talk with you on coaching calls and via emails. Seriously, it’s been awesome. I am SO grateful to you
Hello, my busy-awesome friend! What’s happening? How are things going for you? Things have been moving and grooving in the Engebretson household over the last few weeks, let me tell you! The semester is in full swing. I’ve been coaching lots of new clients. And it is all SO. MUCH. FUN. #LovingLife In fact, my excitement and my feelings of gratitude for all of the different things unfolding recently is what inspired this post all about gratitude today. AND, because gratitude has been such a prominent practice in my mind recently, I’ve decided to make this a 2-part gratitude series.
Hey, busy-awesome friends! What’s going on with you today? I am so glad you’ve stopped by because I have a super exciting topic to explore with you. But before we dive in, let me give you a little background regarding the inspiration for today’s episode. A few weeks ago, my students completed 6 Weeks to Success, which is my productivity and goal-setting course. At the end of the program, I offered an exit survey to each of the students in order to gather feedback. I asked them what they liked, what they didn’t like, what they wanted more of, etc.
Hey, friends! I hope you’re excited because we are about to get real this week. Yep. In today’s podcast, we are talking about all things priorities. And more specifically, we are going to learn how to break through overwhelm, get our priorities straight, and start taking action. Truth be told, this podcast was inspired by my own need for a refresher on the topic. In short, I was having a hard time keeping my biggest priorities front and center. With the school year officially started, I found my schedule much fuller than it has been over the summer (big surprise…)
Hello, you amazing humans. How are things going today? Can you believe that we’ve reached September?! Where did the time go? In this week’s podcast, we are talking about all-things-habits. Now, this episode was inspired by a quick challenge that I shared a few weeks ago on my Instagram stories.
